On September 4, 2013 two friends, after a summer of trading essays/scattered thoughts on albums, sought out to deliver their viewpoints publicly as opposed to pieces of paper in a lowly binder. With all this in their mind, ever growing opinions and writing skills, and backed with determination and passion – Pretty Neat Grooves was born.

Over time, friends and peers offered their support through advertising, reviews and interviews. As time grew on, reviews came weekly, sometimes daily. Recognition grew from Canada to Canterbury, and five months and forty thousand page views later, the site experienced a rebirth.

Originally operating through the website Weebly with a “.weebly.com” URL, the two then transferred to “wordpress.org”, due to better features and advantages, bought a “.com” domain through Bluehost, and prettyneatgrooves.com was reborn. Despite a minor stint in early 2016, we still function (or at least try to) on a regular basis.
Working with educated writers in a vast variety of genres, Pretty Neat Grooves seeks to deliver reviews and interviews to fuel your eclectic desires and to expand your musical tastes.
